Do you have an upcoming RFP in which you’d like to consider how to make your purchase more sustainable? Or are you looking to make a large purchase or investment related to your government’s climate and sustainability goals? Join us for an exciting opportunity to fine tune an upcoming sustainability-related RFP with a cohort of other jurisdictions and under the guidance of an HKS Government Performance Lab coach in our upcoming Green RFP Bootcamp.
Eligibility: Jurisdictions with an upcoming* Request for Proposals (RFP) or other best value procurement that falls within one of the two following categories are eligible to apply for this bootcamp:
*Upcoming means planned to be released after, but close to, April 2024.
Jurisdictions should assemble a small team that will participate in the bootcamp and write the green RFP. Ideal participants are those whose input is needed for the RFP to be released, like representatives from the procurement team, sustainability office, or a relevant department. We anticipate most teams being between 2-3 members.
More information on the bootcamp’s content, eligibility, and structure can be found in the FAQ document linked in event’s materials.
Virtual Dates: The bootcamp will take place virtually over March and April 2024. There will be four cohort group sessions and four separate individual coaching sessions scheduled post acceptance. Attendance at all four cohort sessions is required:
Session #1: Tuesday, March 5, 3-4pm ET
Session #2: Tuesday, March 19, 3-4pm ET
Session #3: Tuesday, April 2 3-4pm ET
Session #4: Tuesday, April 23 3-4pm ET
Application deadline: Friday, February 2, 2024.
All applications to the Vendor Survey Bootcamp should be submitted through this brief online form by 11:59 PM ET on Friday, February 2, 2024. Following receipt of your application, we will reach out to schedule a brief interview to learn more about your project. Please reach out to Amanda Jaffe at ajaffe@hks.harvard.edu with any questions. This opportunity is available at no cost to participants.
Any city, county, state government, as well as local public sector entities such as school districts, transportation authorities, or metro governments, in the U.S. or Canada is welcome to apply.
